Suspected TTP terrorist arrested from Islamabad

Islamabad Police have arrested a suspected terrorist of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and seized explosives found in his possession.

According to Islamabad Police SSP Azmatullah Junejo, the suspected terrorist Mairaj Khan is a resident of South Waziristan and two hand grenades, a detonator, nine batteries and a remote control was seized.

The police have registered a case against him and teams to arrest his accomplices have been dispatched to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab after initial investigation.

EIGHT OUTLAWS ARRESTED:

Separately, the Islamabad Police have arrested eight outlaws and four professional alms seekers and seized weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.

According to details, Tarnol Police nabbed an accused Umair Khan for having 30-bore pistol while Margallah Police arrested Waheed Khan and Naseer. Ramana Police apprehended Saqib and seized stolen items from him.

Meanwhile, Industrial Area Police apprehended three thieves Rafiq, Faqir and Isa Khan. Nilore Police apprehended Tahir Dod and recovered 8mm rifle from him while an accused Qaisar was nabbed for having 30-bore pistol. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.

During special campaign against beggars, Islamabad Police also arrested five professional alms seekers.
