‘Sindh govt not threatened by anti-PPP alliance, PTI’

Sindh Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that there is no threat to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government in Sindh by the anti-PPP alliance formed by Arbab Ghulam Rahim or by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s public gathering in Sindh because “PPP has the vote bank in Sindh’.

has conceded that children in Thar are dying due to poverty and it is the government’s responsibility to do something for them on permanent basis.

Talking to media in Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto after offering prayers at the graves of Bhutto leaders, the minister revealed that even elders were dying of hunger in Tharparker. He said PPP government was doing its best to eradicate poverty from the province and help the Thari people. Shah said that they had distributed wheat three times during their present regime which had never been done before.

He claimed that all required facilities had been made available in Mithi Hospital and added that health department should take more concrete steps for improvement of people of Thar.

He said that federal government was committing injustices with Sindh in distribution of national funds and added that Rs 120 billion due to Sindh was not issued  and therefore the “Sindh government is facing difficulties in carrying out development schemes, health related matters and other things”.
