Young Nurses Association (YNA) on Monday announced to protest across Punjab against alleged misbehaviour of a doctor with nurse at Jinnah Hospital.
As per details, nurses at Jinnah Hospital staged a demonstration and raised slogans against hospital’s administration and demanded to suspend the doctor for harassing their colleague.
After the announcement of the YNA, nurses stopped working in various sectors including outdoor and indoor of government hospitals in Punjab whereas services are being provided to patients in emergency, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
The association claimed that the administration is not taking any action against the doctor involved in misbehaving with the nurse; however, they added that protest would be continued till his termination.
Further, the YNA has also warned the administration that they would stop their services for emergency as well if the administration fails to fulfil their demands.
Earlier on Friday, nurses had also carried out protest by boycotting indoor and outdoor sections of the Jinnah Hospital.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the YNA ongoing protest and sought report from the administration.
