Anti-PPP alliance formed in Sindh

Prominent politicians of Sindh, including three former provincial chief ministers, have formed an anti-Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) alliance to put pressure on the ruling party.

Addressing a press conference after a meeting at the residence of former Sindh chief minister Arbab Ghulam Raheem on Monday, former chief ministers Liaquat Jatoi and Ghaus Ali Shah, Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) leader Sadaruddin Shah and former speaker of the National Assembly (NA) Elahi Bux Soomro said that they had joined hands in the larger interest of the people of Sindh.

“MQM leaders also visited my place on dinner two days ago,” said Arbab Rahim. “We will talk to our friends in MQM and there is no harm in meeting them,” he added.

Condemning PPP’s “high level of corruption”, Jaoti said that there is no sign of good governance in Sindh. “There is neither law nor order in Sindh,” he said.

On the occasion, PML-F leader Shah said that after the 18th constitutional amendment all departments have become “half pheasant and half quail”.

Meanwhile, former CM Shah called upon the PML-F workers to come forward for the prosperity of the country.

“We moved courts against election rigging in Sindh,” he said while accusing PPP of carrying out rigging in last year general elections.
