*PAT to show muscle in Bhakkar today
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri Saturday said his party would consider participating in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) November 30 rally in Islamabad if invited by PTI chief Imran Khan.
Talking to journalists before departing for Bhakkar to hold a public rally, the cleric said that if PTI leadership invites him to participate in November 30 anti-Nawaz government rally, he would consider it sincerely.
Replying to a question on the PAT’s relationship with PTI, Qadri said that he is in touch with Imran Khan and there are no differences between the parties.
The PAT chief reiterated that his destination is revolution and would not end his struggle until it is achieved.
Qadri again rejected the government-formed Judicial Investigation Team (JIT) to probe Model Town incident dubbing it as a ‘Patiala House Plan’.
He demanded the formation of new a JIT that should include members from prestigious intelligence agencies and police official from KPK province.
“Until Shahbaz resigns, we can’t expect transparent investigations,” he told journalists.
Qadri also said that the government has links with terrorists, alleging they killed a local PAT in Balochistan.
“PAT Balochistan President Umrani Baloch, his wife, and children were killed in broad day light. We strongly condemned this incident,” he said.
PAT ALL SET TO SHOW MUSCLE:
Meanwhile, all arrangements have been finalised as the PAT would hold a public gathering at Jamil Stadium in Bhakkar today.
The PAT workers will take responsibility for security of the rally venue and the stage.
According to District Police Officer (DPO) Shakir Hussain, a security plan has been prepared under which more than 700 police personnel would be deployed.
Walkthrough gates would be set up at the entry of the venue, Shakir Hussain said.
A bomb disposal squad has also been called to inspect the venue ahead of the rally, the DPO added.
