Immigration authorities in London imposed a fine of 2,000 pounds on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) after two of its air hostesses were found travelling with expired passports.
The air hostesses arrived in London from Islamabad on board PK-785 where they were held by the immigration authorities.
Issuing a warning, the London immigration authorities directed the national carrier to abide by the rules in the future.
Earlier in September, customs authorities had detained PIA crew members – returning from London – after they recovered 21 smartphones and 5,000 British pounds from their possession.
We are really going to be called a banana republic soon….
