Three students were killed and several others were injured as a mentally deranged school teacher lost control of his car, ramming it into students standing for assembly in a high school in Lower Dir.
According to sources, school children were standing for morning assembly inside Timergara Government High School when a school teacher’s car, which had run out of control, rammed into the students, killing three students and injuring several others.
The injured were shifted to Timergara District Headquarters Hospital for treatment. The condition of three of the injured is reportedly critical.
The teacher, Saleem Khan, was reportedly suffering from psychological disorders, and had lost control of his car.
Police have arrested the culprit and registered a case against him.
The security officials also criticised the school authorities for allowing a mentally unfit person to teach.
