Patron-in-chief of the Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC) and Member National Assembly Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani on Saturday appealed to government for protection of Hindu worship sites all over the country, private media reported.

According to a press release by PHC, 1,400 Hindu religious sites all over the country were waiting for the provision of security by the government.

Dr. Ramesh firmly condemned torching of the Hindu temple and burning of religious books, Geeta and Ramayan in Tando Muhammad Khan.

He also stated that such incidents could be avoided if the Supreme Court’s orders regarding protection of minorities were acted out in true spirit.

One day earlier, a small Hindu temple of Hanuman was set to fire in Tando Muhammad Khan. The incident ignited the outrage of Hindu Community.

However, Hindu Panchayat (Kangaroo-court) leaders Dr Girdarilal Mirchomal Gul, Babu Patel and Mohan Lal called arson attack a conspiracy to trigger riots in Tabdo Muhamamd Khan district and affirmed that such attempts could not spoil peace of the city.
