MUZZAFARABAD-
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday insisted the country’s stance to engage with the Kashmiri Leaders before entering into negotiation with India during a session of the Kashmir Council in Muzaffarabad.
He said that Pakistan government will continue to provide diplomatic and moral support to the people of Kashmir, adding the whole nation is united to support the just struggle of Kashmir.
He urged the international community to increase diplomatic pressure on India to resume dialogue process on Kashmir issue.
He said that Pakistan has been raising this issue in all international forums, including the United Nations.
He further added that cancellation of the secretary-level talks between two countries by India reflects India’s negative attitude. In the month of August, the talks were cancelled by India in protest of a meeting between Pakistani High Commissioner to New Delhi Abdul Basit and Hurriyat leader Shabir Shah.
PM Sharif eulogized the Pakistan Army for a befitting response to unprovoked Indian shelling from across the Line of Control (LoC).
