Senators briefed over Indian aggression at LoC

Members of Senate’s Standing Committee for Defence visited Chenab Rangers headquarters on Wednesday where the lawmakers were briefed about the security situation at the Sialkot working boundary and Line of Control (LoC).

The two-member body, comprising its chairman Mushahid Hussain Syed and Mohsin Leghari, were given a two-hour off-camera briefing by Punjab Rangers DG Khan Tahir Javed about Indian aggression. The Rangers chief briefed the senators that India has broken all previous records of shelling at the LoC, firing more than 31,500 mortar shells, more than that of fired in 1971 war between the two countries
