A three-member Supreme Court (SC) bench presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Nasir ul Mulk Wednesday disposed of a petition filed against October 12, 1999 military action against the Nawaz Sharif’s government, declaring it “infructuous”.
The petition was filed by Pakistan Lawyers Forum against former president Pervez Musharraf’s military coup against the Sharif government. The petition was filed in 2000 and its hearing has been conducted after 14 years.
