Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower Raja Ishfaq Sarwar has issued directives to abolish the time based parking system in all the three allied hospitals in Rawalpindi.
Sarwar took notice of implementation time based parking system in allied hospitals including Holy Family, Benazir Bhutto General Hospital and District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Rawalpindi and directed Rawalpindi commissioner to review the matter and stop time based parking system.
In this system, parking fee increases two fold after every hour and time is mentioned on the slip which is issued at the time of parking of vehicle. This system has led to frequent quarrels and brawls between the contractors and citizens and all the political and religious circles have demanded for withdrawal of this system.
