The newly-elected and outgoing bodies of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) called on the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Nasirul Mulk on Tuesday.
Bidding farewell to the outgoing SCBA President Kamran Murtaza and his cabinet members, the chief justice praised the services rendered by them, saying that the body under Kamran Murtaza performed well. He said all the members of his cabinet played their role devotedly and wholeheartedly for the cause of dispensation of justice.
Felicitating the newly-elected SCBA President Fazal-e-Haq and his cabinet, the chief justice welcomed the Bar saying that he had cordial relationship with the Bar and he will be extending full cooperation to the Bar for strengthening the institution of judiciary.
Murtaza also appreciated CJP’s contribution for the cause of administration of justice. The president of newly-elected body Fazal-e-Haq said he and his cabinet will extend full cooperation to strengthen the institution. He said the nexus between the bench and bar was important to achieve the goal of providing justice to people at their doorsteps. At the end of meeting, the chief justice presented shields to the outgoing cabinet members as a token of respect and they also presented a shield to the CJ as a gesture of goodwill.
