3 including cop killed

As many as three persons including a police constable were killed and two others injured in separate incident of violence in the city on Tuesday.

An unidentified person, aged about 30, was shot dead by unknown armed men near Chatai Bagh, 3-1/2 area, in Korangi Town. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy.

In another incident, the body of an infant was found from 100-Quarters area in Korangi. It was shifted to JPMC hospital. Yet in another incident, police constable Adeeb Abbasi, 45, son of Ashraf, was killed by unknown armed men near Badar Chowk in Orangi Town. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospoital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained.

Separately, a person, Bolan Khan, 45, son of Zar Khan, resident of Ibrahim Haidri, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men near Machli Mill in Ibrahim Haidri, Korangi. He was shifted to JPMC for treatment.

Meanwhile, one Bahadur Ali, 30, son of Muhammad Hussain, resident of Musharraf Colony, was shot and injured by unknown armed men in Musharraf Colony, 500-Quarters. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for treatment.

Two killed in road mishaps

Meanwhile, two persons were killed in separate road mishaps in Karachi on Tuesday.

Sajawal, 30, son of Sher Gul, resident of Shireen Jinnah Colony, was killed in vehicle collision near Zero Point, Clifton. Theo body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, an aged man, Saleem, 70, son of Lal Maseeh, resident of Liaquatabad, was killed when a vehicle hit him on the road in Liaquatabad No 5. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.
