Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Monday claimed that his supporters were shot and injured in Jehlum just because they were chanting the viral “Go Nawaz Go” slogan.

“Is it democracy to open fire on political workers who were chanting slogans?” Khan said while addressing his supporters at D-Chowk.

“Go Nawaz Go slogan isn’t an abuse and it’s our right to chant such slogans,” he added.

The PTI chief said that his party would hold its public gathering in Larkana on November 21 at all costs. “We are going to Sindh to set free the oppressed people from their tyrant rulers,” he said, while lashing out the Pakistan People’s Party and its co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari over the deaths of children in famine-hit Thar.

Earlier on Monday, the PTI core committee decided to increase cooperation with its allied parties and invite the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) and Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) to participate in the November 30 rally in Islamabad.

The PTI core committee also decided to talk to political leaders willing to join the party.

PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi later told reporters that the government was planning to sabotage the PTI’s Nov 30 event.

He said the attack on the PTV building will be proven as a ‘drama’ staged by the government itself.
