While presiding over a high level meeting at the Civil Secretariat on Saturday regarding the steps about service structure, service rules and the rapid promotion of the doctors of general, management and specialist cadres, Advisor on Health Khawaja Salman Rafiq has directed the officials of the health department to prepare final report within three weeks for the promotion of doctors who are waiting for their due promotion.
Secretary Health Jawad Rafiq Malik, Special Secretary Health Salman Mufti, Director General Health Dr. Zahid Pervaiz and Senior Consultant Naseer Ahmad Chaudhary were present in the meeting. A briefing regarding service rules and promotion of doctors of general, management and specialist cadres was also given to the advisor.
Rafiq directed Deputy Secretary (General) Adnan Zafar and Senior Consultant Naseer Ahmad Chaudhry to give final shape to the promotion matters of doctors in consultation with the Finance department within three weeks.
It was decided in the meeting that the report of such doctors awaiting promotion as have no drawing and disbursing powers would not be sought from Anti-Corruption department so that their promotion matters should not be delayed unnecessarily.
