Thousands of people would gather at the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ijtema at the Minar-e-Pakistan for building the country into a truly Islamic, welfare and democratic state, said JI Ameer Sirajul Haq while addressing a donors conference organised at the Al-Markaz, Peshawar by the JI Peshawar on Saturday.

Haq said that millions of the Indo-Pak Muslims had sacrificed their lives for a piece of land to practice the Islamic order.

However, the feudal lords, vaderas and agents of the British hat had ruled the country for the last 68 years and have betrayed with the martyrs of the Pakistan movement and driven it away from its cherished goal.

He said that the historic moot at the Minar-e-Pakistan next week would mark the beginning of a movement for the realisation of the goals before the founding fathers of the country.

The JI chief said that it was the poor and the downtrodden who always upheld the banner of Islam, adding that Islam provided the solution to all the problems facing the humanity.
