Qadri declared PO in riot case

Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi declared Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri a proclaimed offender in a case pertaining to riots on Lahore-Islamabad Motorway.

The court, after hearing the case, ordered police authorities to issue proclamations and advertisement notices and display them on public places.

The ATC, which heard the case against Qadri and 110 other accused, later adjourned the hearing till November 27.

Thursday’s development comes a day after Islamabad’s court issued arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan and Qadri over incitement of violence during anti-government protests.

PTI’S MIRZA ADEEL BAILED:

In the meanwhile, Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Justice Kauser Abbas zaidi granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker Mirza Adeel Baig on Thursday.

Baig who was arrested from Rahim Yar Khan was detained in three cases including attack on Pakistan Television (PTV) and Parliament House. The court granted bail to him after hearing out the arguments.

Mirza Adeel’s bail has been approved against bail bonds worth Rs 5 million.
