Coordination Committee of Muttahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) addressed a press conference on Thursday, and  accused Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah of bad governance and mishandling the humanitarian crisis in drought-hit Tharparkar, a private media channel reported.

Faisal Sabzwari, a member of Rabita Committee said that Shah put the responsibility on Dr. Saghir Ahmed, who remained health minister in the Sindh government for the short time of six months. He also stated that mere demonstration of cabinet meeting in Mithi cannot bring any good to sufferers.

Talking to media, MPA Dr. Sagheer alleged Sindh CM for each death in drought-hit Thar, as, he added, not even a single canal has been allotted to the area for irrigation planning.

MQM also leveled allegations on Sindh CM for dividing jobs in Thar among his MPAs.

Thar situation has become distressing due to the alleged negligence of Sindh government as dozens of children have died in recent years.

Around 68 infants have lost their lives in drought-hit Thar during the last 44 days.
