Five injured in blast near Rangers’ vehicle

As many as five people were injured in a blast near Rangers’ vehicle in Baldia Town on Wednesday while two people were killed in separate incidents of violence in the city.

According to rescue sources, the explosion occurred in Lasi Para area of Baldia Town that injured five people. The Rangers personnel remained unhurt in the blast.

The witnesses said that a motorcycle was destroyed in the blast and the Rangers’ vehicle was also damaged.

The officials said the explosive material was planted in a bike parked near Rangers vehicle.

The injured have been identified as Sajjad, 35, son of Fazal Hussain, Arif, 60, son of Imam Gul, Waheed, 31, son of Abdul Aziz and Mohammad Shafi, 50, son of Alana. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment while security forces cordoned off the site.

Separately, bullet-riddled body of a man, Roshan Ali, 27, son of Mohammad Panah, was found from Bugti Goth, Marium Bagh in Gulshan-e-Hadeed. It was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy. The victim was the resident of Gulshan-e-Hadeed and permanent dweller of Larkana.

The police found his body in bushes along Marium Bagh Road in Gulshan-e-Hadeed and shifted it to hospital. Unidentified accused shot him dead somewhere and later threw his body in the bushes.

In another incident, a youth, Dolat Khan, 25, was shot dead and other Baz Mohammad, 30, son of Noor Mohammad, was injured by unidentified armed men within jurisdiction of KIA Police Station in Korangi Industrial Area. The body and injured were shifted to JPMC for treatment and medico-legal formalities.
