Five tortured bodies were found in the Manghopir area of Karachi on Monday.
The bodies were recovered from bushes near the Northern Bypass and could not be immediately identified.
According to Edhi Foundation, the deceased were kidnapped, tortured and then shot to death.
Considered a no-go area for security forces, Manghopir is notorious for harbouring militants.
On Sunday, CID police arrested a would-be suicide bomber and his four accomplices during a targeted raid in Kunwari Colony area of Manghopir.
