Eight killed in violence

As many as eight people were killed in separate incidents of violence in the city on Monday.

Five unidentified men, aged between 25 and 32, were found shot dead in a jungle on Northern Bypass road within Mochko police station limits. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities. Nobody at the police station attended the phone despite repeated calls.

Separately, a man, Tariq Khan, 40, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen near Khan Muhammad Goth in Sohrab Goth. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.

A youth, Muhammed Saleem, 23, son of Amanullah, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen near Kabari Chowk graveyard in Baldia Town No 9. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.

An unidentified man, aged 28, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Photo Lane, Lyari. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy.

Three die in separate mishaps

Three persons, including a woman, were killed in separate incidents in the city.

A youth, Owais, 18, was killed when a speeding vehicle hit him on Sakran Road in Hab. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.

A woman, Farzana, 42, wife of Abdul Ghaffar, died after falling from roof of her house near Ghareeb Nawaz Park in Orangi Town No 10. The body was shifted to Sindh Government Qatar Hospital for an autopsy.

A man, Zohaib Masih, son of Younus Masih, committed suicide by shooting himself on his head in Sector 32/ A, Zia Colony, Korangi. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for post-mortem examination.
