Pakistan releases 29 Afghans as goodwill gesture

Pakistan has handed over 29 Afghan nationals who were in the custody of Pakistani security forces as a goodwill gesture. They were handed over to Afghan authorities at Ghulam Khan border point.

These Afghans were apprehended during Operation Zarb-e-Azb from different areas of North Waziristan Agency.

After detailed investigation, it was established that these individuals did not have links with terrorists, but were illegal immigrants, living without valid documents.
