Training plane crashes in Islamabad airport, three injured

ISLAMABAD –

At least three people were injured when a training plane crashed at the runway of Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad on Saturday, private media reported.

According to the report, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) spokesperson said that theplane belonged to a flying club. It  crashed at the runway due to a technical fault.

Three people aboard, including the pilot, were injured.

They have been shifted to a hospital.

Runway operations have were temporarily closed following the incident, added the report.
