Speaking at a ceremony for unveiling plaque of extension of Business and Social Science Block on Friday, Forman Christian College (FCC) (A Chartered University) Rector Dr James A Tebbe said that the college has a commitment not to just prepare men and women for their chosen profession but also to educate broadly so that they become good responsible citizens of Pakistan.
He said that new building also houses the growing social sciences departments which are vital for the development of any society in preparing people for leadership.
“Where would Pakistan be without our poets and philosophers? Without philosophical thoughts and reflection on society, a country cannot develop,” he observed.
He claimed that the new building also houses one of the best business schools of the country.
“We are educating many of tomorrow’s top business leaders who will be successful like those of your present on the occasion,” he said.
“They will help to power the economic growth that is vital to the future of Pakistan,” he added.
