Environment Protection Agency (EPA), under anti-dengue drive inspected total 1,814 sites, sealed 85 and lodges 85 FIRs against the rules violators during the month of October.
EPA District Officer Mohammad Nawaz said that EPA teams also removed stagnant water from 433 vulnerable sites in the month.
Nawaz further said that EPA teams visited total 1,814 points including 1,234 tyre shops, 351 junkyards/godowns, 38 nurseries and 191 under construction sites. He said vulnerable points are regularly being checked and special inspection is conducted to check dengue mosquito larvae.
As many as 1,381 sites were declared clear of dengue larva as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding dengue were being followed there.
The EPA teams found dengue larvae at 41 places.
Action in accordance with the law is being taken against the violators of the orders of the government to save the public from the spread of dengue mosquitoes, he added.
EPA teams along with RCB officials also conducted raids and imposed fines amounting to Rs 41,000 on those found violating the rules.
