Punjab government has asked the catering companies to provide details of sales tax paid by them for providing chairs, tents and food to Pakistan Tehreek-i- Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) for their public meetings and other activities.
According to a private TV channel report, the Punjab Revenue Department has issued a letter to district coordination officers of Lahore, Mianwali, Multan and Faisalabad directing them to ensure that the catering companies providing chairs, lights, tents and other catering equipment to political parties for their public meetings pay due sales tax.
The DCOs have been directed that if these caterers fail to pay taxes, strict action be taken against them.
