Six more fall prey to violence

As many as six persons were killed and one injured in separate incidents of violence in the city on Friday.

A police constable killed his father-in-law in Nadi Wali Gali, Ayub Goth, and managed to flee. Police sources said Raheem, a police constable, gunned down his father-in-law, Nazeer, 35, in his house at Nadi Wali Gali, Ayub Goth, and escaped. The motive behind the incident was stated to be a domestic issue. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.

In another incident, Khalid, 35, son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of Lyari, was gunned down by unidentified accused at Cheel Chowk in Lyari. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for an autopsy.

Separately, a body of man, 30, was found from Seaview near a shopping centre in Clifton. It was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities. Yet in another incident, a newly born baby was found from a garbage dump in Landhi. The body was shifted to Chhipa Welfare Association.

Meanwhile, Nadeem, 25, son of Umer Daraz, was stabbed to death over a domestic issue at his home in Nazimabad. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy. Furthermore, Allah Dita, 25, son of Bagh Ali, was gunned down by unknown armed men in Sohrab Goth. The body was shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities.

A man, Amir, 30, son of Habib, was shot at and injured by unidentified accused in Mawach Goth. He was shifted to CHK for treatment.
