Sindh Police’s Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Friday claimed it had arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the attack on former premier Benazir Bhutto’s convoy on October 18, 2007 at Karsaz.
The arrests were made during an operation in Karachi’s Garden area.
According to SP CID Usman Bajwa, the arrested suspects, Jamshed and Abid, are a part of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Over 180 people, mainly Pakistan People’s Party workers and supporters were killed on October 18, 2007, when a suicide blast hit Bhutto’s convoy near Karsaz.
