The Islamabad High Court Friday directed the Finance secretary and National Savings director general to reinstate the service of Muhammad Tariq as Director (Legal) of the Central Directorate of National Savings.
A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui passed the order while hearing the plea of Tariq seeking restoration of his services with all benefits.
During the course of hearing, the counsel of the petitioner told the judge that the petitioner joined the service on October 10, 2010 on the recommendation of Federal Public Service Commission having topped throughout Pakistan for the post but he was removed from his post without proof of allegations against him.
The judge in his order wrote that imposing a major penalty of removal of service merely on the ground that the petitioner tried to claim TA/DA on a bogus claim for a meager amount of Rs 14,625 and Rs 2,925, which was not even sanctioned and paid to him, speaks of malafide on part of authorities.
