Five army companies sent to Thar

The Commander Corps 5, Lieutenant General Naveed Muktar, met Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan at the Governor’s House to discuss the current situation in context of operation Zarb-e-Azb, contingency measures for the holy month of Muharram and drought situation in Thar.

The governor praised the role of Pak Army in Zarb-e-Azb and paid tribute to martyrs of army. He said the role of army, Rangers and other law enforcement agencies was appreciable in countering possible backlash.

The Commander Corps 5 assured the governor that the Pak army would not disappoint the nation as the masses have confidence in their soldiers. He said five companies of the Pak army had been sent to the affected areas of Thar and all precautionary measures had been taken in view of Muharram.
