ISLAMABAD-
The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed all petitions calling to declare the May 2013 General Elections as void.
A three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Nasirul Mulk and comprising of Justice Ameer Haani Muslim and Justice Ejaz Chaudhry, ruled that the petitions were non-maintainable as according to Article 225 of the Constitution, complaints pertaining to elections are to be resolved by the tribunals.
Former Supreme Court judge Justice (r) Mahmood Akhter Shahid Siddiqui, Advocate Kokab Iqbal and Zahir Sarfaraz had filed the petitions.
In the three petitions filed in the apex court, the petitioners argued that defective magnetic ink was used in the elections and pleaded for action against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) officials for purchasing the faulty ink. They also pleaded the court for an order of fresh elections.
The petitions had also accused ECP members, Returning Officers and Presiding Officers for not following the statutory pre-requisites during the electoral process.

Years from now, we will remember Imran Khan as the one man, who took it upon himself to bring to light the nepotism and corruption that exists in Pakistan. The shady backdoor deals, the rigging, bribery, its unbelievable. For the current establishment, and status quo, with their cozy ministerial positions, and corrupt businesses, its a huge wake up call for them. Pakistan's justice system and political establish is more corrupt than a banana republic. Unbelievable.
This is the darkest day in the history of Pakistan…..It simply shows that Pakistan is a complete anarchy….there is no justice, no law , no order, only anarchy…….
Judiciary is corrupt from top to bottom.
