Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Wednesday said that he would have accepted all resignations by then.
“I’d’ve (I would have) accepted all resignations by now,” Bilawal tweeted minutes after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the National Assembly left to meet the speaker of the parliament’s lower house for verification of their resignations.
PTI’s 21-member delegations led by the party’s vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi had to appear before Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday to get their resignations verified. The PTI MNAs had tendered their resignations in August to press Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign.
