Gullu Butt, who rose to prominence after his acts of vandalism in Model Town during Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers clash with the police on June 17, on Tuesday lashed out at his critics, saying the media projection made it feel as if all terrorist activities in Pakistan were being carried out by him.
“Is it me carrying out drone strikes in Waziristan or firing along Sialkot border?” he asked in an infuriated tone.
Butt said the media was a proof of his honesty.
The so-to-speak “goon”, earned the wrath of different segments of society when he was captured live by TV channels smashing public property during a clash between PAT activists and the police in Model Town in which 14 people lost their lives.
Earlier, the anti-terrorism court adjourned hearing of the Model Town case against Butt, whose real name is Shahid Nazeer, after recording statement of the investigation officer concerned.
