The Sindh government on Wednesday announced to ban pillion-riding in Karachi for three days as part of the Muharram security plan.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh home ministry, the ban will remain imposed from 8 to 10 Muharram.
Officials said the step had been taken to avert any untoward incident in Muharram during which mourning processions are taken out and majalis are held across the country.
