As reported the Prime Minister has summoned a special Cabinet meeting on Friday and has issued a directive to all the Federal Ministers and Advisors to present their respective performance report of welfare and development work done so far. This is a healthy, well due and appreciative trend in the government style and is urgently required if the dream to make Pakistan a welfare state is to be met at the earliest. Though it is the first step in this long hard effort but it is expected that the Prime Minister will keep it a priority to have check on the Ministers’ performance on behalf of the general public so that not only governance becomes more productive but the general public also gets maximum benefit out of it.
