The devil is perhaps in the monarchical mindset of the government in office, endlessly in pursuit to rewrite conventions to their pleasure and expediency while in the deep blue sea resides the ego of two champions of change who have unfortunately managed to stun the arterial flow of the capital.
Unprecedented hubbub amidst accusations and counter assertions between the opposing has now stretched into the eighth week. Taking advantage, baring a few, the electronic media is adding fuel to the fire beyond norms; I wonder if it is a run for public ratings or there is more to it?
More contemptible is the state of a few thousand hovering around the Azadi and Inqilab relay-stations on wheels, perhaps hostage to a make-believe call of change while some have been lured in the name of eternal blessing to uproot Yazeediat. Of course the nation in the process is captive to this rigmarole and in a constant state of anxiety about the future of their homeland.
The ruling party’s approach to state-craft since beginning of their term in office, more so upon the arrival of the two demagogues of change in Islamabad, is for sure signaling an obscure Pakistan. Power struggle in the garb of principles is the key driver in this fateful impasse as either end is entrenched for a showdown; the state and its people of course are the victims.
At one end the government in office each new day upscales its bar of imprudence therefore needs no foe for its knockdown while on the other hand the determined political cousins perhaps unconsciously are lettering a new manual of civil disobedience or there is some script in play. It may kickstart the long-awaited implosion of our motherland. Regrettably enough, most of the cast list on either side is of first generation novices in business and so is their response to the emerging despondency.
A pressing question therefore seeks attention of the 180 million as to whose interest is being endorsed in here: Is it 58-II(b) in deception or an orchestrated, international agenda, unconsciously being served by us Lilliputians?
Be that as it may, the state is at the verge of a tailspin and let there be no doubt in the mind of the power centres that the current stalemate in no ordinary occurrence but a deep rooted undercurrent. There is surely no time for trialing rather a prudent, forbearing and immediate resolution is a necessity if we are to preempt what could be a customised Arab Spring in the offing.
