*PPP leaders threatens AML chief of consequent wrath of Jiyalas

In a statement issued from the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Secretariat, PPP Punjab President Manzoor Wattoo Saturday has condemned the use of indecent and foul language against the PPP leadership by Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid at the public gatherings of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lately.

Wattoo added if the AML chief did not stop then it would be difficult to control the PPP workers who would come out to take on him on his turf because they revered their leaders from the core of their hearts.

He pointed out that the PPP was not interested in heating up the political environment in the country for the sake of the continuity of the political system and had been following the policy of reconciliation for the same reason.

He hoped that the AML chief would act upon his advice to see sense in following the politics of tolerance, maturity and decency instead of politics reflective of worst practices. Political opposition can be pursued on the basis of tolerance and decency, he added.

He pointed out that the politics of brinkmanship, allegations and counter-allegations had already hurt the image of the politicians.
