PHCF flaunts another feather in its hat

*Session sheds light on best practices in Human Resource Services and problems faced by HR professionals

Pakistan Human Capital Forum (PHCF) Mughal Chapter held its 24th session on the topic “Human Resource(HR) Services Best Practices” at Dome Hall, Royal Palm Golf and Country Club on Saturday. The session saw participation of over 50 HR professionals from different organisation who shed light on best practices and challenges faced by HR.

The curtain was raised by PHCF Mughal Chapter coordinator Maira Munawar who gave the welcoming note. An introduction of PHCF and its Mughal (Lahore) chapter was given by the chapter’s lead Syma Waleed from Service Sales Corporation and the Forum’s President Adeel Anwar from Warid revealed the future agenda of the forum.

Cotton Web Organisational Development head Iman M Omar conducted the ice breaking activity and was the moderator of the main session. Systems Limited AVP and HR head Umer Javaid presented on “HCM Solution System and HR information systems”.

Speaking on the topic of e-learning, METRO Cash and Carry Organisational Development and Learning Senior Manager Babar Shabir shared his e-learning experience at METRO and said that around 25% of employee quit an organisation just because they don’t see any learning platform at their place of work.

Syed Usman from Warid Telecom shared his views on “Impact of HR services and its Evolution” and revealed iScout- the first ever mobile HR Facility to streamline HR services delivery.

The presentations were followed by a question and answers session in which different participants enquired about application of HR Metrics and the 3 Legged Stool Model and importance of Research in HR. At the end of the session the participants were served refreshments.
