NA seats not vital for making Naya Pakistan: Qureshi

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said Sunday that National Assmbely (NA) seats were not vital for making “Naya Pakistan”.

“PTI lawmakers will appear before NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq on October 29 for verification of their resignations from the NA,” said Qureshi while talking to journalists.

He thanked the people of Sindh, especially Umerkot, for making PTI’s rally in Umerkot the “biggest ever rally in Umerkot”.

“PTI will hold more anti-governemnt rallies in Punjab and Sindh. Change will definitely come in the country under the leadership of PTI Chariman Imran Khan,” Qureshi said.

“We are preparing to stage a massive rally in Rahim Yar Khan on November 9 and in Sahiwal on November 15, besides our already planned rally in Larkana on Novemebr 21,” Qureshi said.

Replying to a question, he said the party’s sit-in in Islamabad would continue.

“We have not ended our protest sit-in, it will continue till all objectives are achieved, but it has been decided that party songs will not be played in the sit-in due to sanctity of Muharram,” Qureshi said.

Replying to another query, Qureshi said PTI stands by its decision to not contest by-elections.
