Minister for Information Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday said that the nation was united to root out the menace of terrorism from the country.
He said this during a meeting with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman at his residence in Islamabad.
Condemning the suicide attack on the JUI -F rally in Quetta, he said that the backbone of terrorists’ network has been broken and they were on the run now.
The minister said that the defeated terrorists were meeting their fate and soon Pakistan would get rid of them and become a peaceful country. Speaking on the occasion, the JUI- F chief said that enemies of Pakistan were trying to destroy the peace of the country but “they cannot achieve their nefarious designs”.
Rashid lauded the role of Rehman for the promotion of democratic values and Parliamentry supremacy. He expressed hope that the JUI-F chief would continue to play his positive role for the cause of peace and political stability in future as well. The minister also prayed for the souls of those who lost their lives in the “cowardly act of terror”.
