KARACHI-
At least three alleged Lyari gang-war criminals were killed in two separate armed encounters with the Rangers in different Lyari areas in the wee hours of Saturday, a private news channel reported.
According to the report, the first encounter occurred in Lyari area of Chakiwara where two criminal suspects were shot dead by the paratroopers.
The suspects—Sameer and Balaach, were wanted in cases including extortion activities, 20 murders including those of Rangers personnel and kidnappings for ransom.
The second encounter took place in Lyari area of Tughlaq Lane where an alleged gang-war operative—Haneef alias Kela, was killed.
According to the Rangers spokesman, the Haneef was involved in the three killings and extortion.
