Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Shireen Mazari said Saturday that all PTI lawmkares who had tendered their resignations in the Nationla Assembly would appear before the NA speaker on Wednesday, per the speaker’s directives, to verify their resignations.
“We will not withdraw our resignations at any cost,” reiterated Mazari.
She, however, clarified that PTI’s provincial lawmakers would not resign from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. Mazari further stated that PTI would not take part in by-elections.
To a question, she said that there was no use of holding further talks with the government without a probe into election rigging.
Regarding PTI’s ongoing protest sit-in in Islamabad, she said the party would decide the timings of the party Chairman Imran Khan’s address during the month of Muharram.
She condemned Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chiaf Fazlur Rehman for his remarks about the participation of women in PTI’s sit-ins.
“We condemned the attack on the JUI-F chief but he has made shameful remarks about women participating in PTI’s sit-in,” said the party’s information secretary.
