As many as 17 prisoners fainted after consuming contaminated food in a detention center in Swat on Saturday. Two police officials concerned were sacked following the incident.
According to a private news channel, 17 prisoners detained in a center in Swat fell unconscious after they consumed toxic food in which a lizard had fallen.
The unconscious prisoners were shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital while two police personnel allegedly responsible for serving the poisonous food were suspended.
