ISLAMABAD-
A petition challenging the 2013 general elections was approved for hearing by the Supreme Court on Friday.
The elections have been challenged by Justice (r) Muhammad Akhtar Siddiqui.
Another petition seeking to declare the 2013 general elections null and void will also be heard during this case.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk and comprising of Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Ijaz Chaudhry will begin proceedings of the case on October 29.
The petitions state the 2013 elections should be declared null and void due rigging the used of faulty magnetic ink by Election Commission of Pakistan.
