A ban has been imposed on opening new primary schools in District Rawalpindi under the directives of the Punjab government.
The new primary schools will now be opened under private-public partnership keeping in view future requirements.
DCO Rawalpindi and EDO Education have been informed in this respect. Punjab government has decided that no primary schools will be opened at district, tehsil and union council level out of government grant and the schools will be operated in backward areas only under private-public partnership where the need is felt
