Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif gave approval to Apna Rozgar Scheme for the unemployed youth during a high level meeting on Tuesday. Vehicles will be provided to unemployed youth on soft-terms under this scheme.
Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said that as before 10 percent additional quota has been allocated for South Punjab under this scheme. He said that a respectable job opportunity will become available to the unemployed youth under Apna Rozgar Scheme. He said that merit and transparency will be ensured at any cost in this scheme which is being started from the current month.
The chief minister said that youth are a precious asset of the country and they are being empowered through providing them respectable job opportunity. He also inspected the vehicles to be given to the unemployed youth on easy terms
CM FOR REVIVING HOCKEY’S LOST STATUS:
Separately, while addressing a reception hosted in honour of the national hockey team which won silver medal in Asian Games, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Tuesday said all-out cooperation and resources will be provided for the promotion of hockey in order to regain the lost status of the country in this game.
The chief minister said that there was a time when Pakistan was at the top of the world in hockey. He said that Pakistan could again achieve a prominent status in the game.
The chief minister also distributed cash awards of Rs 0.2 million each among the players and officials of the national hockey team for their performance.
