Violence claims 8 more lives

As many as eight people died and two others injured in separate incidents of violence on Monday.

A youth, Zeeshan, 25, committed suicide by hanging himself at his home in Azam Basti, Mehmoodabad. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy. The motive behind the incident could not be ascertained yet.

In another incident, three unknown persons, aged 25 to 35, were killed when a fast moving vehicle hit them near Lucky Cement Factory in Nooriabad. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

Yet in another incident, a labourer, Fateh Muhammad, 30, son of Niaz, resident of Baloch Colony, was electrocuted during work at a shop in Manghopir area. The body was shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities. Similarly, a teenager, Basit Ali, 13, son of Muhammad Yousuf, was electrocuted at his residence in Sikandarabad. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy.

Separately, another teenager, Aamir, 18, son of Omar, was killed when a fast moving vehicle hit him near Mai Kolachi Road. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for autopsy. Meanwhile, an unknown person, aged 30, was killed and another, aged 35, injured in a road accident on Superhighway near Zardari petrol pump. The body and the injured were shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively. Furthermore, Saima, 35, wife of Ahmed, was injured when a fast moving vehicle hit her near Five Star area in Surjani Town. She was shifted to ASH for treatment.
