Punjab assembly adopts bill for ‘diplomatic passports’ for top assembly members

Punjab Assembly on Tuesday adopted a bill seeking to issue diplomatic passports to the top assembly members, a private news channel reported.

The resolution, in this regard, was tabled by Mujtaba Shuja-ur- Rehman; provincial minister for finance, excise and taxation. The resolution was unanimously passed by the assembly within, reportedly, three minutes. 

Following the approval, the speaker, deputy speaker and other officials of the assembly will be issued ‘blue passport’ to eliminate any visa restrictions during international travel.

  1. Utter nonsense.Show me one bill tabled for public welfare. They are not even ashamed of their action.People of Punjab deserve such third rate leadership.They lack self esteem.No wonder all invaders of Subcontinant were welcomed by this lot even Ranjit Singh ruled here.He is back in Lahore and Islamabad.
