‘Pakistan employing all means to counter Indian aggression’

Parliamentary Secretary for Defense Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal has said that Pakistan was using every diplomatic forum including United Nations (UN) to stop Indian aggression on Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary.

Talking to Radio Pakistan on Monday, Iqbal said India was carrying out unprovoked unilateral firing and shelling on LoC and Working Boundary just because of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s proactive stance on Kashmir dispute in UN General Assembly session.

The parliamentary secretary said Pakistan was fully capable of responding in a befitting manner to Indian aggression as armed forces were fully equipped with all sorts of conventional and non-conventional weapons. He however said that Pakistan did not want to become a part of any offense with India. He said India will have to return back to negotiating table.

Iqbal said India has never spared any effort to harm Pakistan because Pakistan strategically is an important gateway between South and Central Asia. It also gives access to warm waters to many landlocked countries including Afghanistan.
